Professional Remodeling Collective – Registered Apprenticeship Programs

The remodeling industry is at a crossroads. Labor shortages, an aging workforce, and a lack of formal training pathways have made it increasingly difficult for companies to grow and deliver the quality customers expect. That’s why the Professional Remodeling Collective has launched a nationally recognized Apprenticeship Program—tailored specifically to the unique needs of the remodeling sector.

Why It Matters

Unlike traditional construction, remodeling professionals work in occupied homes and diverse environments that require both technical skill and a high degree of professionalism, communication, and problem-solving. Our apprenticeship programs are designed to meet these demands, blending hands-on jobsite training with structured education and soft skills development.

These are earn-while-you-learn programs, meaning apprentices receive wages while gaining valuable experience in the field. Unlike rigid, time-based models, our programs are competency-based, allowing apprentices to progress as they master skills—keeping training aligned with real-world performance, not just hours logged.

For employers, this means you gain access to a fully developed onboarding and training system that equips your team to mentor, evaluate, and grow talent effectively. Our model is designed to meet your company where it is—offering flexibility, accountability, and the structure needed to ensure success on both sides of the apprenticeship.

Each program follows a hybrid model that combines on-the-job learning with Related Technical Instruction (RTI) delivered through our RemodelED™ learning platform, live webinars, and in-person sessions when applicable.

 

Program Costs & Fee Structure:

  • Must be a member of the association
    Membership currently: $675/year
  • $2,000 Employer Onboarding Fee
    Waived through 12/31/2025 for active members (may extend through 2028)
  • $750 Annual Program Participation Fee per Company
    Billed each May for the July–June program year
  • $25 Monthly Fee per Active Apprentice
    Covers LMS access, documentation tracking, and administrative support

What the Association Provides:

✔️ Education Access: Full access to RemodelED™ learning modules, CEUs, and assessments

✔️ National Recognition: Upon completion apprentices receive a national recognized certificate of completion by the Department of Labor.

✔️ Trainer Support: Guidance for employers on how to effectively mentor and evaluate apprentices

✔️ Marketing Tools: Materials to promote your company’s role in building the next generation of professionals

✔️ Tax Credit Guidance: Information on state/federal incentives for apprenticeship hosts
